Hoy traigo una entrada diferente, de belleza masculina, y es que mi pareja fue uno de los ganadores del concurso de Belleza activa (de Àngels Marín y Elisabet Parra) de un barbero láser de Philips. Pero no sólo eso, sino que pudo disfrutar de las explicaciones de un experto en el cuidado de las barbas, se trata de Jordi Pérez, de La Barberia de Gràcia (c/ Torrent de l'Olla 198, Barcelona), un hombre cuya experiencia ya le viene de generaciones atrás.

Aquí os transcribo lo que me ha contado de la experiencia:

Empezamos tímidamente con los saludos entre los primeros que habíamos llegado cuando en la barbería aún había clientes, después de conocer a Jordi, Àngels, Elisabet y Luís de comunicación de Philips, nos presentamos todos sentados en un semicírculo. Luís nos introdujo el nuevo barbero series 9000 de Philips con guía láser, con la que se consigue mayor precisión en el afeitado, dos recortadores, apto para usar bajo el agua y se puede regular la longitud de la barba que se desea, a continuación Jordi nos aconsejó uno por uno, según el tipo de barba que teníamos, qué dificultades podríamos tener a la hora de cuidarla y cómo podíamos usar el barbero para llevarla mejor.


Yo me presnté en el taller cuando ya estaban acabando y debo decir que la barbería, que ya estaba en el barrio desde hacía años pero acababan de cambiar su localización, está muy bien decorada. Tiene una mezcla de minimalismo moderno con el toque de una barbería de siempre por sus sillas (que son las que se usaban hace años).
Jordi nos contó que el servicio que él ofrece no es sólo un corte de barba, sino que es como un ritual que empieza con una toalla caliente con aceite esencial de romero, un afeitado con una brocha de pelo de tejón y navaja y acaba con una toalla fría también aromatizada y un producto balsámico reparador. Cuando escuché la ambientación que ponía (una música relajante para que el cliente disfrutara de su afeitado) y el procedimiento deseé tener barba para poder vivir la experiencia.


Mi chico salió contentísimo del beautytaller y muy bien informado. Muchas gracias a Àngels y Elisabet para organizar este taller para chicos.
Definitivamente tanto el barbero de Philips (si tu pareja es de cuidarse la barba) como la experiencia de un afeitado en la barbería (puedes reservar hora aquí) son dos muy buenos regalos a tener presente.

I wanted to talk about something different today, about men care, because my partner was a winner in the giveaway Belleza activa (by Àngels Marín and Elisabet Parra) had, they gave him a Philips Series 9000 beard trimmer. But it was more than that, he also got to enjoy the explanations of a professional barber, Jordi Pérez, from La Barberia de Gràcia, whose experience come from generations before him.

Here is what he told me about the afternoon:

We started with shy greetings with those who arrived early, while there were still customers in the shop, once we'd met Jordi, Àngels, Elisabet and Luís from Philips communication department, we all sat down in a semicircle and introduced ourselves. Luís presented to us the new beard trimmer series 9000 by Philips with a laser guide, which makes the trimming more precise, with two trimmers, waterproof and you can regulate how long you want the beard to be, then Jordi advised us, depending on our beard, what difficulties we could face taking care of it and how we could use the beard trimmer to make the process easier.

I went to the workshop when they were finishing up and I have to say that the barber shop, which was already in the neighborhood but just changed location, is really well decorated. It mixes modern minimalism with a hint of an antique barber shop with the typical chairs they used years ago.
Jordi told us that the service he offers is not just a beard cut, but rather a ritual that starts with a hot cloth aromatised with rosemary, a shave with a badger hair brush and a razor and ends with a cold cloth also aromatised. When I heard the setting he offers the customer (relaxing music to really enjoy the shave) and the process I wished I had a beard to get the experience.

My boyfriend went home really happy and well informed. Thanks to Àngels and Elisabet for organising this workshop for our boys.
